My favorite subjects to explore in my fine art have been people, animals, and whatever lies between. Hovering between realism and surrealism, I enjoy re-imagining the lives and stories of characters on canvas, exploring the emotional colors of faces, and re-creating images of vintage America.
Recently, I find myself drawn to creating more abstract work and challenging myself in new ways. My objective is no longer to achieve a narrative through realism, but to communicate new possibilities and feelings in more expressive, abstract, and surprising ways.
